Kelly Khumalo graduates as a Traditional Healer

Kelly Khumalo has become an Inyanga

Kelly Khumalo is celebrating multiple milestones this November, reflecting on her personal growth with excitement.

On Monday, the South African musician turned 40 and announced her graduation as an inyanga (traditional healer) after months of training.

Speaking to Ukhozi FM, Kelly shared, “Today, as I celebrate my birthday, I’m also graduating as inyanga. So now, I’m officially an inyanga.”

She continued, “After 15 years of searching and trying to understand myself, today I’m finally graduating as a certified inyanga.”

“But my gift is unique,” she explained. “It’s not only about traditional healing; it’s a universal gift meant to reach people worldwide, not just Black people. That’s why it took me longer to understand it.”

Kelly revealed her training was extensive and diverse: “I was trained four to five times in various settings—including in water, nature, through prayer, and by connecting with my roots—because knowing where I come from is essential to knowing where I’m going.”
